Around a third of 91¿ì»îÁÖ students come to us from college, having done an HNC or an HND first. This means we know exactly what you need, and how to support you when you come to us.
In some cases, this means you can start many Abertay degrees in second year with a relevant HNC, or in third year with a relevant HND.

(the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). This is the same for everyone - whether you are coming straight from school, from college or as a mature student.
For all the details, check out our step-by-step guide about how to apply to Abertay.
Everyone needs a helping hand at some point, so we provide support to help make your transition from college to university go smoothly.
If you need help with anything, whether it’s a personal, financial or academic issue, we'll help as much as we can.ÌýIn fact, we provide free support and guidance over your entire time here - from before you arrive, right through to graduation.
When you join us in Year 2, you'll do a microcredential module (a short course) designed specifically for students coming from college.
This helps you really understand how Abertay works, get to grips with the systems and processes of the University, what to expect from the learning experience, and how to develop the key skills you’ll need.
You can also choose from a range of modules such as 'academic writing', 'career planning' and 'research skills' as the years progress.
If you have any questions or would like to know more about these modules, please email studyskills@abertay.ac.uk.Ìý
